The WMB Leadership Board (LB) serves the church in a governance role to ensure that we fulfill our Mission and Vision statements, adhere to our operating by-laws and policies and to provide accountability on behalf of church members. The LB works co-operatively with the Lead Pastor to ensure we are financially viable, strategically oriented with our goals and striving towards the mission God has given us as a congregation.
Leadership Board members are first nominated by the congregation, then go through a selection process to confirm they have the required attributes. Finally, the LB is elected by members at our annual general meeting. Meet our current Board below. To get in touch with a Board member, contact Terry Shuh, Leadership Board Chair, at email@example.com.
Terry ShuhLeadership Board Chair
Terry’s ministry experiences include ushering, leading small groups, mentoring, church administration, serving on the Board in previous terms, and serving on the provincial MB conference board. Terry recently retired from her full-time vocation and is excited to serve the church in this next season of ministry and mission.

Paul has been involved in leading Dinner Theatre, leading Home Groups, serving on the Eat, Connect + Learn team, the Global Outreach Team and as an usher. He has also participated in a number of short-term mission trips. He is excited about what is happening at WMB and what the future holds for us.

Anita BolesLeadership Board
Anita is the Chief Financial & Operations Officer at Emmanuel Bible College. She and her family have been part of the WMB community for over 20 years. She has served in a variety of ways including teaching Sunday school, leading small groups, leading worship, going on mission trips, and mentoring couples as they prepare for marriage. She has always been passionate about community, but especially since experiencing the “hands and feet of Jesus” through the WMB Church family during her husband, Duane’s journey with brain cancer and since his death. Anita is honoured to be serving on the Board and to be a part of the deeper call that God is stirring among us.
Sospeter GatobuLeadership Board

Paul ThompsonLeadership Board Treasurer
Paul believes that the local church plays an important role in discipling people in their journey to and with Jesus, and it's a key vehicle to reaching and caring for our community. Because of this, and his leadership experience, he has been engaged in a Leadership Board role for many years. After 20 years working with a team to build a listed medical device company based in Europe, he now spends his time impacting people through investing, advising and board directorships, primarily in the technology start-up community in Waterloo Region. He also enjoys mentoring young business leaders who want to bring Jesus’ example of servant leadership into their careers. Paul and his wife, Gillian, have attended WMB since 2005. They have four adult children.
