At WMB, discipleship courses equip us for the purpose and mission of being transformed by Jesus to make more and better disciples.
ESSENTIAL COURSES
Essential Courses provide the core teachings and formative resources our church needs to follow the way of Jesus. They help us understand the biblical story, grow in discipleship, and live out the values of God’s Kingdom. These foundational lessons equip our community to think and live like Jesus in everyday life. They will be offered continuously every few years.
PRACTICING THE WAY
An 8-week course designed to help you build a strong foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus. Whether you're just starting out, feeling stuck, or ready for your next step, this course will equip you to be with Jesus, become like Him, and do what He did.
THE KING JESUS GOSPEL
The Gospel is more than just saying a prayer and getting saved. Designed to recover the original beauty of the “good news”, this course aims to show how the story of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection truly impacts the whole of our lives, inviting us into a Kingdom where Jesus is on the throne.
THE STORY OF SCRIPTURE
This course demonstrates how the biblical story forms the foundation for the Christian worldview and how we find ourselves part of that story. Come see how the entire bible is one coherent story of God’s love for humanity and his invitation for us to participate in his drama.
ONE LIFE
How do we live our one life for all it’s worth? What is the Christian life all about? This course digs into the common places where Jesus invites his followers to lay down their lives and completely transform their perceptions of how to live: relationships, justice, identity, calling, sex, knowledge, and more. This is how we live out God’s Kingdom each and every day.
SUPPLEMENTARY COURSES
Supplementary courses are specific to a theme or subject that equip followers of Jesus to think and live like Jesus in this world.
DISCIPLEMAKING FORUM
Developing and equipping everyday disciplemakers is critical to our mission as the local church. We know disciplemaking can seem intimidating. So often people get the idea that you must be a pastor, seminary graduate, or ministry professional to make disciples. But the gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom advances most powerfully through everyday people living like Jesus wherever they go.
FREEDOM SESSION
Freedom Session is a life-changing discipleship journey that invites you to let Jesus bring healing and transformation to your story. Through teaching, reflection, and authentic community, you’ll experience hope, renewal, and freedom from the things that hold you back.
