Space for God: How do we pray without ceasing in a world with so many distractions? In this breakout, we will explore different prayer practices that can help us live in a deeper rhythm of communion with God, not just during set times of prayer, but throughout daily life. Experience how prayer can move beyond words into a divine dialogue through intentional encounter with God.

The Alabaster Jar: This breakout session is inspired by the lyrics, “So help me be like Mary…” by Bryan & Katie Torwalt. In this reflective session, you are invited to slow down and sit at the feet of Jesus. We will explore “Bethany Jesus” through John 12:1–8 and a reading from N.T. Wright, take time to rest in quiet contemplation, and be refreshed in a peaceful atmosphere of live worship because He is worthy of it all.

Hilary is a Waterloo congregation member at WMB. “Poetry and praise are the overflow of my love and intimacy with Jesus. He meets me in quiet places, inspiring me to write - all for His glory and by His grace”.

In the Garden with Jesus: Jesus often used the imagery of gardens to teach and connect with the Father, from Eden to Gethsemane to the promise of restored life. In this reflective and interactive session, we’ll explore how gardening mirrors our spiritual growth—through seasons of pruning, planting, and flourishing.

Tamille Richardson

Walking in Grace: As human beings, we were created for connection. Again and again, Scripture calls us to be people whose relationships are shaped by grace, love, kindness, and unity. We all long for that kind of community, but let’s be honest: relationships are messy. In a world that feels more divided than ever, how do we actually live as people of grace? What does it look like to show up with compassion toward those we don’t understand? How do we begin mending relationships that feel beyond repair? In this breakout, we’ll get real about the challenges of community and explore what it means to experience and extend God’s grace—even when it’s hard.

Tamille is the Associate Pastor at Evergreen Heights Christian Fellowship in Simcoe, ON. She also does community mental health work in Hamilton, and is currently completing her Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University.

You Can Love Jesus & Still Need Therapy: Caring for your mental health honours God's design for holistic wellness since he has made us as spiritual, mental, emotional and physical beings. Loving Jesus and caring for your emotional health are not mutually exclusive. Both aspects are deeply connected in how we understand ourselves, find meaning in life and relate to others and the world around us. A person can have deep sincere faith and still suffer from mental illness. Join me in this interactive workshop where we get real about health, healing and faith.

Karen is a trauma therapist and the Clinical Director at By Peaceful Waters Christian Counselling Services in Waterloo, ON, and she has also led and facilitated trauma workshops in partnership with Barnabas Missions.
