2025/26 Church Council Nominations
We prayerfully invite you to help shape the future of our faith community through nominating new members for our Church Council for the 2025-26 ministry year!
We invite you to take part in an important step in the life of our church—nominating individuals to serve on our Church Council. As we seek God’s direction for spiritual leadership at WMB, your input and prayerful discernment are vital.
Do you know someone who not only has a deep love for Jesus, but also demonstrates spiritual maturity, wisdom, and a heart for serving the church?
We encourage you to prayerfully consider and submit a nomination. If you're a voting member of WMB, you have the opportunity to participate in this process by either nominating someone or considering being nominated yourself. All nominations will be reviewed by the Discernment Committee, and potential nominees will be invited into a thoughtful and prayerful process of discernment.
Nominations will be accepted until June 1. Let's come together in prayer, trusting the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we select leaders for the next season of WMB.
What is the Church Council?
Members of the Church Council serve as spiritual leaders at WMB, helping guide our church under the leadership of Jesus. It’s a meaningful and weighty role—both exciting and humbling.
Church Council members are called to walk closely with Jesus and be led by the Holy Spirit, because spiritual leadership is different from any other kind of leadership. It isn’t just about skills or experience—it’s about being rooted in Christ (John 15:5), listening for His direction, and leading with spiritual wisdom and humility.
The Bible outlines key qualities for this kind of leadership in 1 Timothy 3:1–8 and Titus 1:6–9. Council members should show spiritual maturity, the ability to work well with others, and a willingness to serve with humility. They also need to be actively involved in the life of WMB and have the time and energy to contribute meaningfully to the team.
As you consider who to nominate, please take time to pray and seek God’s guidance. We’re trusting Him to raise up the leaders we need.

Thank you for being open to God’s leading and allowing your name to be considered for WMB’s Church Council. As a church, we’re prayerfully discerning those called to serve in spiritual leadership at WMB. The next step is to complete the confidential response form before. Once submitted, the Discernment Committee will review it and follow up with you personally to discuss next steps. You may be considered for this year or for future leadership opportunities.
