WMB participates in Kingdom building in other parts of Canada and around the world by investing in strategic Global Partners. Through our Global Partners, we have opportunities to engage in short-term, cross-cultural mission experiences abroad and mobilize people and resources for long-term missions.

Lisbon MB ChurchES
Partnering with church plants that serve and share Christ among some of the least reached people in Europe
LOCATION: Lisbon, Portugal
MISSIONARY PARTNERS: Otto & Marjorie Ekk
SENDING ORGANIZATION: Multiply
Otto and Marjorie Ekk have been country leaders since 1992 and lead five church plants on the outskirts of Lisbon. They teach, encourage and equip leaders and shape vision for these diverse churches, including two Russian churches and two multicultural African churches. They have a passion for sharing Christ with the least reached people in Europe. In a country where only 1% of the population believes in the Bible, they have seen much growth and many lives changed. The Ekks also love hosting visitors and would greatly welcome one or more couples to partner with them for an extended term of several months or longer.

Dortmund Church Planting
Planting a church in the city of Dortmund, Germany, that gives witness to the reconciling light and love of Jesus
LOCATION: Dortmund, Germany
MISSIONARY PARTNERS: Alex & Carla Suderman
SENDING ORGANIZATION: Multiply
The city of Dortmund is the largest city in the region called the Ruhr, which comprises more than 5 million people. It was once the industrial heart of Germany but has suffered difficult economic times in the past few decades. There is a great need for the hope of Christ and more churches in this region. Jesus has called a team of Canadians and Germans together to go to the people of Dortmund, Germany, to plant a church there that gives witness to the reconciling light of Jesus. This is a city which the MB churches in Europe have been praying about for many years. Dortmund is a very “post-Christian” city, where people live as though “God is dead.” The team seeks to plant a church that is more than sustainable, but thriving and seeking to plant more new churches.

Lisbon, Portugal / Dortmund, Germany
THE MISSION: WMB Church, in partnership with Multiply, is looking to send a team of adults to connect with our Global Partners in Lisbon, Portugal, and Dortmund, Germany. Additionally, as the Holy Spirit calls people to this team, we may plan to engage in community outreach/service events, facilitate leadership/discipleship training for ministry leaders, or provide networking and training opportunities for local business leaders in Lisbon.
