Child dedication is an opportunity for parents to declare their desire to raise their child to know and love Jesus and invite their community to be part of this discipling journey.
All over the world, God is building His Kingdom through children and through child-like faith. At WMB, we seek to embrace children with the intent of becoming like them in faith, and to disciple them as they follow Jesus. When parents dedicate their children, they are: declaring their desire to raise their child to know and love Jesus; recognizing that they can’t do it on their own and need God to empower them day by day to fulfill this responsibility; and inviting their community to be part of this discipling journey.
Child Dedications take place on Sunday afternoons (3:30-5pm). Participating families are encouraged to invite their community of family and friends to be a part of the celebration service. We celebrate together by hearing some of the hopes the parents have as they raise their children, praying with each family and their children, and making commitments to God and to one another. Light refreshments are served.
