Dying with Christ – Living with Hope presents a hope-filled perspective on a universal experience: death and dying. The discussion, led by theologians and healthcare professionals, will give timeless perspectives on suffering, grief, dying, our duty to care, and how dying with Christ is attainable for everyone.
Dying with Christ – Living with Hope is designed to promote the Christian view of life and death both within and outside of the Christian community. Recent societal changes, like the legalization and expansion of euthanasia in Canada, have called into question traditional values related to the value and dignity of human life. It is important to remind Christians that the central truth of the Christian faith is that Christ redeemed the world by His suffering, death and resurrection and we are called to follow Him in both the comfortable and challenging times of life. It is hoped that this program will be a means of outreach to a world that is in desperate need of Christian hope.
This course will be led and facilitated by Lyndsay Gingerich, MD, and Brad Sherk, Pastor of Discipleship (Waterloo).
