Matthew House Toronto Virtual Live Event

Matthew House’s mission is to inspire hope, restore dignity and empower independence for refugee claimants. This year they are hosting a live virtual celebration for World Refugee Day 2020:

We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Rema Jamous Imseis, the new Representative in Canada for the UNCHR, will open our event as a special guest. 

We will have a live performance from the award-winning Congolese band Krystaal! They will not only sing but share some of their story and be available to virtually interact with our audience live.  

We will also showcase the launching of a new Matthew House initiative: "Matthew House World Table" which will feature former refugees from the Matthew House community sharing favourite recipes from their homelands. You will also virtually meet our new Executive Director Jacky Tuinstra and other Matthew House friends.

All in all it will be a fun and memorable event and we would love to have you join us. We look forward to having you join us on the event night!
