God’s command to care for the materially poor is clear…but what impact are God, and us, hoping for? Are we satisfied with large numbers of food hampers given and numbers of toys donated? Or do we hope for more for our neighbours?
Together, let’s dream of full flourishing, or Shalom, for individuals and communities that experience material poverty. Seeking Shalom is a 6 week course that will help us learn to seek shalom as we engage in poverty reduction. Video resources created by Christian community development organization Focused Community Strategies will guide our learning.
