What does it mean to be a reconciling disciple? Have you ever heard the phrase, “hurt people hurt people – healed people heal people”?
This six-week Disciple Maker course will equip you with a biblical understanding of what it means to be a reconciling disciple and how to apply it in your relationships and community. Looking at Jesus as the reconciler and His life model, we’ll seek to apply our faith in real-life scenarios to be a witness of the Gospel of peace (shalom) individually and as a church community. Depending on our group’s make-up, we may explore different avenues of reconciliation, including being reconciled to God, to our own story, to the people around us and to creation, and how we can journey with others on their path. We will approach the topic from a Christian perspective and certainly want to consider the church being a centre of reconciliation in our community.
